Wills has provided a variety of design services and project support for the Peterborough Regional Health Centre, a major institutional centre in the city of Peterborough, for over ten years.
The final piece was a new 2km access road, Medical Drive. Wills provided detailed design and contract administration services for the new road construction, storm sewer design, stormwater management facility design, and major overland flow route analyses. Wills also designed a two-tier stormwater management dry pond to provide flood relief in this highly-susceptible part of the city. Wills designed the pond with over 16,000 cubic metres of active storage to minimize the impact on the constrained construction site. During construction, Wills also provided traffic control, staging, and scheduling for nearby Hospital Drive, adjacent to the newly constructed PRHC.
